The eTDU108 lets users play back content, access data and install software from CD or DVD discs. Its top-load design and two color options make it stylish, convenient and space-saving.

A great travel companion for any notebook or netbook without a built-in optical drive, the eTDU108 is powered directly from the notebook through the enclosed USB cable, so there is no need for an AC adapter or nearby outlet. Weighing less than 0.7 lbs, the lightweight device is ideal for travelers, busy professionals and students.

MIAMI – Dec. 10, 2008 -- Philips & Lite-On Digital Solutions (PLDS), one of the world’s leading manufacturers of optical storage solutions for PCs and Home Entertainment systems, announced is the proud recipient of the award for “Best Blu-ray Drive.”  PLDS received the recognition for the DH-401S BD-ROM by Compuchannel Magazine, a leading IT channel publication with distribution across the Latin America region.  The DH-401S was selected as the best all-in-one disc reading device playing the most popular formats including Blu-ray Disc, DVD and CD discs.

The Channel Awards recognizes the best products available in the Latin American markets, and are organized by the publications Compuchannel (distributed in Central America and the Caribbean), Digital Market, dLife (Colombia) and Infochannel (Mexico).
